Summer High School App Development Intern
HideOut Youth Zone
• Work with technical teen co-founders and professional developers to build Hideouts • Develop updates, improvements, and new features for mobile and web versions of Hideouts • Collaborate with a team of other interns
Job Requirements
- Proficiency with Swift and XCode for iOS development
- Proficiency with HTML, DOM, and CSS for web development
- Experience with SwiftUI recommended, but not required
- Experience with Firebase and React/Node.js recommended, but not required
- Strong background in computer science fundamentals
- Team-oriented and excellent communicators
- Available to work full time during the summer (roughly 30 hours a week)
- Must be entering grades 10-12 in high school

Report and follow up deficiencies, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or incidents; by using the appropriate reporting system (e.g., failure/breakdown, SJA, non-conformity) • Collaboration is Key: Work alongside survey personnel onshore and offshore, ROV crew, Shift Supervisors and management to ensure smooth operations, while providing input and suggestions for improvements in team performance and operations. Manage and run a professional survey team offshore to ensure the highest standard of project deliverable • Maintain Equipment: Keep survey-related equipment in excellent working condition, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. We take pride in looking after our assets. • Reporting & Problem-Solving: Report key findings to senior team members, identify issues, and actively contribute to solutions that optimise our workflows • Innovation Focus: Get hands-on with the latest in survey technology and contribute to the development of new systems in renewable energy, offshore decommissioning, and more.
