Role Description We are looking for a Software Engineer – Front-End based in Japan to contribute to the development of a mobile-first trading platform. This role focuses on building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces and collaborating with a global team to deliver a reliable and scalable product. - Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript - Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces for web and mobile platforms - Integrate front-end components with REST APIs and WebSocket services - Collaborate with backend engineers working with FastAPI-based systems - Implement state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, or similar) - Create data visualizations using tools such as D3.js or Chart.js - Ensure performance optimization for real-time data and large datasets - Translate Figma designs into functional UI components - Write and maintain front-end tests (Jest, React Testing Library) - Maintain clean and well-documented code using Git Qualifications - Experience with React and TypeScript - Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design - Experience working with APIs and real-time data - Familiarity with modern front-end development practices - Experience with version control (Git / GitHub) - Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team - Professional working proficiency in English Requirements - Experience with React Native - Understanding of mobile performance optimization - Familiarity with app deployment standards (App Store / Google Play) - Experience with UI tools such as Figma - Interest in building interactive or data-driven interfaces Benefits - This is a part-time, equity-only role, suitable as a side engagement alongside a primary job or consulting work. - The position will transition to compensated status after the MVP launch and once funding or sustainable revenue is secured.
