• Make outbound calls to collect, post, and manage account payments in English and Spanish • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies either electronically or manually • Identify and resolve patient billing issues and complaints • Evaluate patient financial status and establish payment plans or arrangements • Report on status of delinquent accounts • Correct and resubmit claims to insurance companies and third-party payers • Investigate and correct rejected or denied claims • Translate patient information into alphanumeric and numeric medical codes • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and FDCPA guidelines and regulations
Job Requirements
- MUST be bilingual in Spanish
- 3 to 5 years of experience in medical billing
- Experience in Collections
- Experience speaking with customers and insurance providers
- Knowledge of HIPAA and FDCPA
- Knowledge of medical coding, billing, and third-party billing procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.

Position Overview: Join our team as a Care Coordinator where you will work with the senior population managing Department of Human Services (DHS) and Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) required activities for Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO/MSC+) members living in the community and assisted living facilities. In this position, you will work from home, but regularly travel your local area to serve the needs of your members and your community. Schedule: Full time position, day shift hours, no evenings, weekends or holidays. Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday thru Thursday & 8am to 3pm on Fridays. Location: ~50-70% travel mainly throughout the Bloomington and Minneapolis areas and ~30-50% remote work. Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000. Salary commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: As a Care Coordinator, you will manage member caseloads within your assigned geographic area. Role Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Remote Nurse Monitor serves as the heart of Brook’s care model—combining clinical expertise with compassion to bring human connection to technology-driven care.
