Tech Lead – Agentic Engineer
Metajive
• Provide technical guidance to a team of 1–3 creative web developers. • Lead mandatory weekly AI-only sessions. • Drive key technical decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable. • Spend 60–70% of your time actively building. • Oversee digital projects from planning to deployment, focusing on automating scaffolding processes and accelerating headless CMS integrations. • Collaborate with project managers to define scope, estimate development effort, manage technical risks, and resolve roadblocks. • Ensure all outputs pass the official Metajive test suite and comply with standards. • Enforce coding standards on human and AI-generated code. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment processes. • Actively evaluate emerging technologies for R&D purposes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years in software/full stack web development with 3+ years in a technical lead or senior developer role.
- Experience working in a creative agency environment is a must.
- Extensive, proven, hands-on experience building with advanced AI tools (VS Code + Copilot + Claude Code) and shared prompt architectures.
- Understanding of WebGL, GSAP, or similar libraries and advanced web animations.
- Strong proficiency in modern web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks, specifically React and Next.js (React Native is a plus).
- Solid understanding of PHP, databases, and LAMP servers.
- Deep experience scaffolding and building with headless CMS systems (Craft, Statamic, WordPress, etc).
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS: EC2, S3, Lambda, Cloudfront, RDS).
