• Lead the research, design, and development of algorithms and ML models that enhance vehicle decision-making, expand ODDs, and ensure robustness against long-tail events and subsystem failures. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (Perception, Prediction, Hardware, Infrastructure, etc) to architect a holistic system that maximizes safety and performance at scale. • Architect dynamic simulation scenarios to validate expanded ODDs, ensuring rigorous testing of the system’s "edge case" limits. • Maintain a high bar for technical excellence by clearly documenting research findings, system architectures, and validation results to ensure organizational alignment and safety traceability. • Act as a technical catalyst by mentoring junior engineers in software craftsmanship, algorithmic rigor, and systems thinking.

• Work on a cross-functional team of software engineers, ML engineers, and product managers to implement full-stack, user-facing features at the core of Rocket Money • Implement AI/LLM/ML tools our ML engineers are building • Develop with TypeScript across the Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL stack • Own complex features end-to-end, from initial product & technical design stages through to production • Help to maintain our high technical bar, participating in code reviews and design discussions • Support a collaborative and innovative culture by sharing your ideas via RFCs, participating in solution ideation, and giving your peers thoughtful feedback on their code and their proposals

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable backend and frontend systems that support key product initiatives. • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate user needs into robust, maintainable technical solutions. • Take end-to-end ownership of major technical components, from initial design through deployment and ongoing optimization. • Lead architectural discussions, making informed trade-offs to balance scalability, maintainability, and delivery speed. • Champion code quality by writing clean, well-tested code and establishing best practices for testing, CI/CD, and observability. • Conduct thoughtful peer reviews and actively mentor junior and mid-level engineers to elevate team performance. • Contribute to long-term technical planning, helping shape the roadmap for product architecture and infrastructure.
