Role Description The Retina Surgical Application Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and training healthcare professionals—including surgeons, nurses, and technicians—on Bausch & Lomb retina technology. This includes: - Setup, programming, troubleshooting, and surgical case support for the Stellaris Elite PC system across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and office-based surgical facilities. - Expertise in ancillary Bausch & Lomb/Synergetics products such as forceps, laser probes, cautery, contact lenses, illumination systems, and other specialty devices. Working closely with Retina Territory Managers, Regional Business Directors, and Ophthalmic Surgical Specialists, this position ensures seamless integration of Bausch & Lomb products into surgical workflows and supports ongoing sales initiatives. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, appropriate ophthalmic certification or a minimum of 4 years of cataract and/or refractive surgical experience. - Preferred experience; COA, C.O.T., C.O.M.T. with significant experience in retina surgery. - Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant, responsive attitude to be highly effective in a clinical teaching environment. - Excellent organizational skills. - Ability to establish priorities to meet goals. - Highly motivated and results driven. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
