Data Operations Manager
Veeva
• Own the operational lifecycle of the HCP Access data product • Monitor and investigate data pipeline health and data quality across ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers • Identify upstream data issues and coordinate with product and engineering teams to resolve root causes • Ensure customer-facing datasets are accurate, validated, and delivered on schedule • Lead dataset validation and release processes • Manage pre-release data validation and verification before customer delivery • Generate and validate final production datasets • Develop automated checks and data quality frameworks to detect anomalies and regressions • Build scalable data operations tooling and processes • Develop Python and SQL-based tools to automate monitoring, validation, and operational workflows • Improve observability across data pipelines and delivery processes • Reduce manual operational steps through automation and process improvements • Act as a bridge across technical and operational teams • Work closely with analysts, engineers, and product managers to ensure smooth data releases • Translate operational issues into actionable engineering improvements • Help define operational standards and best practices for data reliability
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Direct experience working as part of an enterprise data product team.
- Strong technical foundation with fluency in Python and SQL for data analysis, development, or automation.
- Experience designing and implementing business operations and process improvements within a technical team.
