ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a motivated Junior Business Analyst with French to support business analysis and project delivery activities. Role Summary As the Fisheries Intern, you will support applied research and data analysis that contribute to Canada’s environmental bio economy, with a focus on fisheries, sustainable seafood, and marine ecosystems. This role involves designing and delivering a consumer awareness study related to seafood and food system sustainability and analyzing environmental and consumer data to inform science based recommendations that support the responsible use of aquatic biological resources. *Please note this is a part-time, fixed-term contract with no guarantee of extension* Who You Are You are a curious and motivated early-career professional or student with a strong interest in marine science, sustainable seafood, and/or environmental research. What You Will Be Doing Conduct a Consumer Awareness Study - Lead the design and execution of a consumer awareness study to support Ocean Wise’s Fisheries and Seafood initiative and to strengthen understanding of program reach within Canada’s sustainable seafood and fisheries landscape. - Collect, manage, and analyze environmental and consumer data related to fisheries, seafood systems, and sustainability outcomes. - Contribute to the interpretation of findings to inform evidence based environmental and conservation strategies. - Opportunity to contribute to or co author a research publication or technical paper based on study results.
