In this role, as an AI Pilot – that’s how we refer to this position at Mindrift – you’ll collaborate with Tendem Agents that handle repetitive tasks, while you provide automation expertise, structured thinking, and quality control to ensure reliable and scalable workflow execution across multiple systems. As a Low-Code Automation Engineer, you'll design, build, and optimize advanced automation workflows across multiple platforms, ensuring reliable execution, scalability, and efficient data handling within integrated systems. Key Responsibilities - Design and evaluate complex automation workflows across business tools and platforms. - Build and optimize workflows using low-code platforms (Make.com, n8n), APIs, webhooks, and event-based logic. - Implement custom JavaScript within automation tools to handle advanced logic, transformations, and edge cases. - Connect and synchronize data across platforms (Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion, CRMs, or similar systems). - Ensure reliable execution of workflows with proper error handling, logging, and fallback mechanisms. - Troubleshoot and improve automation performance, reduce failures, and optimize efficiency. - Support automation of communication and operational workflows (e.g., messaging, outreach, notifications). Compensation On this project, contributors can earn up to $50 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in low-code/no-code automation, workflow development, or software development (required).
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields is a plus.
- Strong experience working with APIs, webhooks, and data exchange formats (JSON or similar) within automation platforms.
- Proven ability to design and manage complex workflows across multiple SaaS tools and systems using low-code solutions.
- Solid experience connecting and synchronizing data across platforms (Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion or similar).
- Experience building reliable automation workflows with proper error handling, retries, logging, and validation mechanisms.
- Demonstrated experience building scalable, fault-tolerant automation workflows across multiple tools and platforms.
- Strong understanding of API limitations within automation tools (rate limits, pagination, authentication) and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience working with real-time vs. scheduled (batch) automation workflows and selecting appropriate approaches.
- Experience automating communication systems (email, messaging APIs, outreach workflows).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workflow reliability and consistency.
- Self-directed work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize automation workflows independently.
- Portfolio or examples of advanced automation workflows or low-code projects is a plus.
- English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above (required).
