About the Role The Risk Analyst plays a key role in the ongoing analysis of transactional and operational data to identify anomalies, emerging patterns and potential indicators of fraud, non-compliance and operational risk. The role contributes to the early detection of issues, enhances visibility of risk-related activity and supports the strengthening of preventative controls across the business. With a focus on daily and periodic data review, the development of analytical tools and reporting, and the extraction of insights to assess incidents and trends, the role supports informed decision making within the business. Working closely with the Risk Manager, the role provides accurate data-driven insights, maintains monitoring frameworks and contributes to investigations, control reviews and broader risk initiatives. RELATIONSHIPS: - Reports to: - Risk Manager - Direct Relationships: - Finance Team - IT Team - Retail Operations Team - Legal Team AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Transaction Monitoring & Anomaly Detection - Monitor daily transactions for unusual or suspicious patterns such as refund abuse, discount abuse, duplicate sales, and other red flags or irregularities. - Assist in identifying emerging risk trends across stores, regions or individuals. - Maintain tracking of flagged activity and support appropriate escalation pathways. - Contribute to strengthening preventative controls based on observed risk patterns. Data Analysis & Reporting - Extract, clean and analyse transaction and operational data to identify trends, control gaps and risk exposure. - Translate data findings into clear, commercially relevant insights for the Risk Manager and key stakeholders. - Assist in preparing regular risk dashboards and reporting packs. - Support the ongoing development of reporting frameworks and risk metrics. Fraud & Incident Investigation Support - Support investigations by extracting, analysing and interpreting relevant data. - Assist in identifying root causes and system weaknesses contributing to incidents. - Contribute to quantifying financial exposure and documenting findings. - Support control reviews and help assess the effectiveness of existing risk mitigation measures. Risk Governance & Continuous Improvement - Assist in maintaining risk registers, incident logs and documentation. - Contribute to the enhancement of policies, procedures and internal controls. - Collaborate with IT, Finance and the wider team to improve data integrity and risk visibility. - Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting quality and preventative controls. - Support communication of risk trends and insights to relevant stakeholders. This position supports the federal government, and all applicants must be local to the Washington, DC area. The Cost Estimating & Price Analysis SME plays a critical role in supporting the Government’s mission by providing expert cost and pricing support across the full acquisition lifecycle. This role focuses on developing cost estimates, supporting proposal evaluations, conducting price analysis, and ensuring fair and reasonable pricing for government procurements. This position supports a Government office responsible for acquisition strategy, procurement oversight, and financial stewardship. The SME contributes to improved cost transparency, informed decision-making, and compliance with federal acquisition regulations. Responsibilities: - Provide expert support for cost estimating and price analysis across a wide range of federal procurements. - Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) using appropriate methodologies, historical data, and market research. - Collaborate with program offices and Contracting Officers to prepare cost evaluation plans and support proposal evaluations. - Draft cost proposal preparation instructions and recommend cost formats and evaluation methodologies. - Review and analyze cost proposals, bids, and quotations to determine price reasonableness and regulatory compliance. - Develop and implement price evaluation strategies to support source selection decisions. - Provide both pre-award and post-award cost and price analysis support, including contract administration activities. - Maintain and analyze historical cost data to support cost databases and future estimating efforts. - Validate option pricing and assess cost impacts related to contract changes and modifications. - Support cost and price analysis activities associated with contract terminations and other contractual actions. - Prepare reports, variance analyses, and pricing documentation to support acquisition decisions. - Recommend improvements to cost estimating tools, methodologies, and internal processes. Qualifications: - Must be a U.S. Citizen. - Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, acquisition, or a related field. - Ability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance through the Government. - Minimum of 8–12 years of experience in federal cost estimating, price analysis, and acquisition support. - Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it relates to cost and price analysis. - Experience developing IGCEs and performing cost realism and price reasonableness evaluations. - Experience supporting proposal evaluations, source selections, and contract negotiations. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and cost data. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Professional certification such as Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or DAWIA Certification in Contracting or Program Management is preferred. • Submit Open Negotiation letters and IDR Disputes for federal and state processes • Analyze insurance cards and EOBs to determine if a claim is Self Funded or Fully Funded • Run reports to identify trends and patterns within claims inventory to drive workflow including any bulk account actions that can be applied to the inventory (Example: non-viable IDR submissions) • Manage relationships with Out of Network payers to establish a claim settlement process where applicable • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement within inventory for billing, claim reimbursement, and follow-up processes • Validate analytics using data from client systems • Review insurance companies payment patterns and denials to identify any trends and irregularities. • Reconcile inventory including payments, adjustments and returned accounts as needed • Present IDR findings in a clear and concise manner to clients and internal stakeholders • Work closely with product management and implementation teams regarding any new operational analytic enhancements which may be needed for one or many clients.
