Requirements - 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on system design and architecture. - 6+ years of experience in system design and architecture, including designing scalable and complex systems. - 2+ years of practical experience using AI tooling in development (e.g. LLMs, agents, automation workflows). - 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, preferably with Golang or similar technologies. - 3+ years of experience working with cloud and infrastructure, preferably AWS. - 2+ years of experience in legacy system refactoring and modernisation. - Strong product thinking and commercial awareness, with the ability to contribute beyond pure engineering. - Proven experience working across the full stack and making pragmatic technical trade-offs. - Experience leading projects or major technical initiatives. - Ability to work effectively with incomplete information and shape direction. - Strong ownership mindset with the ability to define and solve problems independently. Nice to Have - Experience building or integrating AI agents into engineering or product workflows. - Exposure to fintech, payments, or platform-based systems. - Experience working in high-growth or startup environments. - Strong interest in leveraging AI to improve engineering velocity and system design. Benefits - Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter) - No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words - Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided - Support That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared - True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued At Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.
