Product Manager
Weekday (YC W21)
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the platform’s architecture, roadmap, and business objectives. • Define and prioritize product initiatives across maintenance, enhancements, and new capabilities. • Ensure alignment between product development efforts and long-term business outcomes. • Maintain roadmap clarity and ensure consistent execution across releases. • Act as the central point of accountability for all product-related decisions. • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and engineering/delivery teams. • Provide clarity on scope, priorities, timelines, and trade-offs. • Facilitate collaboration across distributed and offshore teams to ensure seamless execution. • Own and manage the end-to-end product backlog. • Prioritize and balance: - Ongoing maintenance and support - Infrastructure and pipeline initiatives (including cloud-hosted applications) - Feature enhancements and new product capabilities • Ensure backlog items are clearly defined, groomed, and aligned with sprint capacity planning. • Maintain structured governance over delivery pipelines and release planning. • Establish a structured maintenance model to ensure platform reliability and long-term engagement. • Drive proactive, meaningful product initiatives rather than reactive or ad-hoc tasks. • Support scalability and long-term platform evolution through disciplined roadmap management. • Participate actively in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement clarification. • Translate business objectives into clear, actionable user stories and technical requirements. • Operate within Agile/Scrum frameworks to deliver predictable, measurable progress. • Ensure cost-efficient and scalable execution practices.
Job Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership roles.
- Strong background in managing SaaS or platform-based technical products.
- Proven experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience managing distributed or offshore delivery teams.
- Hands-on experience with Jira or similar backlog management tools.
- Strong prioritization, stakeholder communication, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to translate business goals into structured technical requirements.
