Consultant, Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Infrastructure Design
Pact
• Convene an inception meeting with representatives from PACT, MRTCDLG, and the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH). • Prepare and submit an Inception Report outlining various elements related to the project. • Conduct field visits in all four (4) communities. • Document historical flood events and collect primary data through key informant interviews, community consultations, and site inspections. • Analyze hydrological, topographical, and environmental data, and recommend appropriate design parameters for roads and infrastructure. • Develop flood hazard maps and vulnerability assessments.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Disaster Risk Management, Geography, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in flood risk assessment, hydrological analysis, or disaster risk reduction.
- Proven experience conducting community-level vulnerability assessments.
- Demonstrated expertise in GIS and spatial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and reporting skills.
- Experience working in similar geographic and socio-economic contexts will be considered an asset.

• Developing and overseeing clinical risk management strategies, including risk assessment, mitigation planning, and monitoring to ensure the safety and integrity of clinical trials. • Leading a team in identifying potential risks related to clinical trial operations, data integrity, and patient safety, and implementing effective risk management measures. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and data management, to integrate risk management strategies into overall clinical trial processes. • Monitoring and analyzing risk-related data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to address potential issues and enhance risk management practices. • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices for risk management, including adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other relevant guidelines.
• Conduct fieldwork on coastal beaches to monitor endangered Piping Plover and support the maintenance of signs and fencing that protect nesting habitat. • Collaborate with staff, partners, and community volunteers to ensure nesting sites are regularly assessed. • Assist with coordinating fieldwork schedules and maintain flexibility, including some longer days in the field and occasional weekend work during peak beachgoer periods. • Provide regular updates to supervisors throughout the field season and flag any issues as they arise. • Deliver targeted educational outreach to beachgoers and nearby communities. • Ensure all data is entered into NatureCounts and other reporting systems throughout the duration of the position. • Support additional tasks as required.
