Head of Engineering

• Pre-Sales & Discovery: Own the end-to-end pre-sales process, including technical audits, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering. • Solution Design: Design high-level architectures and solution blueprints; act as both Business Analyst and Technical Architect during sales cycles. • Proposal Leadership: Write comprehensive technical specifications and proposals that align technical solutions with business outcomes. • Strategic Growth: Work with Sales and Marketing to define new business models; assist the CTO in scaling tech capabilities and overall strategy. • Technical Oversight: Supervise Solution Architects and Tech Leads to ensure delivery excellence for new and existing accounts. • Innovation: Design AI/ML-powered solutions and evaluate new technologies to recommend adoption based on business impact and security standards.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in solution architecture, tech/team lead, or competency management roles.
- Engineering: Background in software development with hands-on coding (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, C#, Go, or similar).
- Architecture: Mastery of Microservices, DDD, CQRS, messaging, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- AI/ML: Solid understanding of AI/ML technologies and their practical business applications.
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices and scalability considerations for company-wide systems.
- Professional Skills
- Client Engagement: Proven track record in owning the full pre-sales cycle and leading execution for complex projects/accounts.
- Strategic Approach: Ability to lead conversations using a "working backwards" approach from business needs to tech solutions.
- Soft Skills: English at a C1 level; excellent communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Mindset: Pragmatic approach to problem-solving without over-engineering; comfortable with ambiguity and high-agency ownership.
