Role Description We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for graduate-level trainees and early-career professionals with hands-on experience supporting children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in clinical, school, therapeutic, or family support settings. This role supports the onboarding of qualified professionals with direct ASD experience and relevant graduate-level training or professional certification, particularly those with exposure to structured developmental, behavioral, educational, or therapeutic support environments. Selected professionals will contribute hands-on support, structured observation, individualized plan implementation, and communication across ASD-related care or support settings. Key Responsibilities - ASD Support & Direct Service - Support children or adolescents with ASD in structured settings, including clinical, educational, or home-based environments depending on project scope. - Apply evidence-based strategies for ASD intervention. - Assist with developmental, behavioral, and therapeutic support needs in day-to-day practice. - Plan Implementation & Documentation - Assist in implementing individualized plans such as IEPs, therapy plans, or behavior intervention plans. - Document observations and provide structured feedback. - Maintain clear, organized, and accurate reporting across assigned work. - Collaboration & Family Support - Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, or multidisciplinary teams. - Support families with guidance and structured communication when applicable. - Contribute to coordinated support efforts across professional and family-facing settings. Assignment in Young Minds & Family Learning This entails developing and delivering programs for children age 0-12 with an emphasis on early childhood programming, with a strong knowledge of children's literature, and providing a variety of information services for parents and children. All Library positions serve a diverse population, including a substantial Spanish-speaking community.
