Within a learning environment, the undergraduate innovation intern will provide a novel and fresh perspective to an assigned team and project within the organization. We are seeking purpose-driven, impact-hungry, fun-loving interns to join us in transforming our work. We’re Looking for You: The intern will work remotely with innovation leadership and program teams to help identify, design, and implement innovative approaches to our work to enhance the impact of our projects. They will bring their background and expertise – perhaps in technology, investments, analytics, design, art, activism, equity, social change, management, communications, science, engineering, coding, marketing, writing, etc. – to significantly advance innovation in conservation. This could include creating processes, building conservation solutions, designing program work, generating program materials, analyzing investments or policies or processes, or introducing new methods and best practices into our day-to-day operations and work. The project’s content is dependent on the intern’s academic interests, unique skillset, and the needs of our many conservation programs. The areas in which the intern may work include conservation, philanthropy, marketing and operations. What You’ll Bring: - Enrolled in an undergraduate academic program for the duration of the internship. - Located in the U.S. for the duration of the internship. - Experience working in a team environment. - Experience using research tools and computer systems. - Experience supporting complex projects and strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment. Desired Qualifications - A desire to grow in this role and tackle big challenges through a learning-by-doing approach. - Willingness to work cross-functionally and with multiple priorities at various levels of leadership. - Willingness to work remotely and independently (with guidance) 35 hours per week from 10-12 weeks. - Ability to apply your expertise and unique background to help transform our organization. - Ability to communicate accurately, transparently, and to apply feedback. - Ability to use technology (Microsoft Suite, Zoom, etc.) for business processes or willingness and dedication to learn. - True interest in bringing your diversity of thinking and background to a conservation organization. - Interest in learning and applying innovation methods to challenges facing the organization. - Demonstrated ability to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo. - Passion for change management, activism, leadership, creativity, innovation. - A strong sense of ethical responsibility. Salary Information: The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $15.00 - 18.61 hourly rate. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. As a Thimble Seamstress, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing alterations and repairs on garments at your home workspace. Position Summary Vox Church is seeking a volunteer Legal Advisor to provide legal guidance to the organization’s leadership. This role will support Vox Church in reviewing and drafting routine agreements, identifying potential legal considerations, and helping determine when matters should be referred to outside counsel. The Legal Advisor will serve as a trusted resource and may also act as a liaison with outside counsel when specialized legal support is required. This position is well-suited for an attorney who is interested in contributing legal expertise in support of Vox Church’s mission and operations. This is a remote position with opportunities, but no requirements, for in-person meetings and collaboration. Time Commitment Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, depending on organizational needs. The schedule is flexible, and some weeks may require minimal involvement while other weeks may need more. Duties and Responsibilities - Provide legal guidance to leadership on operational matters as they arise - Review and assist in drafting routine agreements such as simple leases, vendor agreements, service contracts, and other standard documents - Review contracts from vendors, venues, contractors, and partners to identify potential legal risks or issues - Assist leadership in determining when matters should be referred to outside legal counsel - Serve as a liaison between Vox Church and outside counsel when appropriate - Provide occasional guidance related to insurance matters, HR questions, or other organizational issues - Assist in maintaining organized documentation of contracts and agreements when needed Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) - Understand and embody the Core Values and Distinctives of Vox Church - Be a member of Vox Church in good standing - Juris Doctor (JD) degree - Active license to practice law in the State of Connecticut - Experience reviewing and drafting contracts and agreements - Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and provide practical guidance - Professional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters - Must sign non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements
