Position Overview Appalachian Children's Home is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Typist to join our administrative team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately typing, entering, and updating information in our internal databases and records. The ideal candidate is organized, precise, and able to maintain accuracy while handling repetitive tasks. Key Responsibilities - Accurately type and enter data into company databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems - Review documents and information for completeness and correctness before entry - Update and maintain existing records to ensure accuracy - Organize and maintain digital and physical files - Identify and correct data discrepancies - Assist in generating reports and compiling data for administrative and program use - Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive client and organizational information - Collaborate with team members to resolve data-related issues - Follow organizational policies and procedures for data management Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required - Previous experience in data entry, typing, or administrative roles preferred - Strong typing skills with high accuracy and speed - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or similar tools - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Commitment to the mission of Appalachian Children's Home
