Overview National Louis University’s LE3 Program is currently seeking Adjunct Faculty to join our Undergraduate Innovation - LE3 Program team for our 2026 Terms. Position Overview We are seeking a candidate that can teach the following interdisciplinary math course, which connects data understanding to leadership, organizational development, and systems thinking. This is not a traditional math course; it is designed for working adult learners who are exploring how data can shape decisions that drive impact within organizations. The ideal candidate: - Demonstrates the ability to translate quantitative concepts into practical, real-world applications relevant to leadership, workplace decision-making, and organizational performance. - Is comfortable teaching foundational data literacy, including interpreting charts and graphs, analyzing trends, evaluating sources, and applying basic quantitative reasoning to professional scenarios. - Understands how data informs strategy, resource allocation, equity considerations, and systems-level change. - Can facilitate discussions that connect numerical evidence to ethical decision-making and organizational impact. - Designs learning experiences that are applied, reflective, and skill-based rather than formula-driven. - Has experience working with or teaching adult learners and values the professional experiences students bring to the classroom. - Creates an inclusive, supportive learning environment that reduces math anxiety and builds confidence in quantitative reasoning. - Integrates durable skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication into quantitative coursework. - Provides timely, actionable feedback that helps students strengthen both their analytical reasoning and their leadership capacity. - Is comfortable leveraging digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, data visualization platforms, or learning management systems) to support applied data analysis. This course aligns with the LE3 Pillars: developing Creative and Curious Thinkers, Leaders with Purpose and Agency, Thrivers in Change, and Network Builders by equipping students to use data as a tool for informed, responsible, and adaptive leadership. Essential Responsibilities Instructional (at least 4 weeks per quarter) - Facilitate at least one 4-week virtual course using a provided asynchronous curriculum, detailed rubrics, and durable skills assignments. - Lead one live evening virtual class session per week (from 6:00-7:30PM CST) to foster community, clarify concepts, and engage students in active learning. - Engage students through discussion boards, personalized outreach, and timely, constructive feedback. - Assess student work consistently using provided rubrics and grading tools. Collaborative & Administrative - Reflect on student trends and share insights to support continuous improvement across the program. - Monitor and track student progress using D2L and Slack to ensure timely communication and support. - Collaborate with colleagues to provide a seamless, high-touch student experience throughout the program. - Communicate with LE3 Coaches and the Administration Team when students show signs of struggle (e.g., missed assignments, attendance concerns, or other engagement issues). Qualifications - Masters degree or higher AND at least one of the following: - - 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field - OR - Track record of teaching appointments and demonstrated skill in teaching quantitative literacy and/or statistics at the secondary level or higher - OR - Track record of appointments and demonstrated skill at providing academic support for college-level math and/or statistics - 3+ years of professional experience in leadership, facilitation, workforce development, or adult learning. - Demonstrated ability to work with diverse, working adult learners. - Comfort with digital tools (Zoom, D2L, Slack, etc.) Preferred - Postsecondary teaching experience, particularly in online or hybrid formats. - Coaching certification or formal training in mentoring/advising. - Familiarity with work-integrated learning or experiential education models. About the Model Learn and Earn in 3 (LE3) is a reimagined undergraduate model for full-time working adults. Students earn their degree, B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Development, in 2.5-3 years while remaining employed full time, receiving course credit for time spent at work. All courses are related to workplace and leadership skills. LE3 uses a focused quarter structure designed for depth and application: - Academic courses (major and general education) run in 4-week blocks, with students taking one course at a time - Each quarter also includes a 12-week Professional Skills Seminar focused on durable skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and self-advocacy - Courses are fully virtual and blend asynchronous learning with one intentional live session per week LE3 faculty are partners in student success, helping students connect learning to their professional lives and apply skills immediately at work.
