Manager, Business Development – Discovery
Evotec
• Support a regional sales team in identifying prospective targets that are a good fit for Evotec’s standalone service offerings • Collaborate with the VP and Sales Directors to support targeted outreach within the region & qualify resulting leads • Take ownership of smaller pipeline opportunities (academic & biotech sectors) from first contact (or SQL onwards) to signed contract • Help increase Evotec’s visibility and recognition in the region by participating in client meetings, conferences, and events • Support the implementation of sales and marketing plans for the territory as part of a regional team of BD professionals • Work closely with Operations and Marketing to support project onboarding and drive client satisfaction
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in business development or sales experience in the life sciences, biotech, or contract research industry (CRO highly preferred)
- Familiarity with drug discovery & development pathways (academic or industry exposure acceptable)
- A tenacious, self-motivated and target driven individual capable of managing a portfolio of modest opportunities and pushing through to closure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative mindset
- Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in business development within the life sciences sector
