About the Role: The Director, Strategy plays a critical role in shaping and executing Point Wild’s growth strategy across its portfolio of cybersecurity, data intelligence, and tech-enabled services businesses. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, this role partners closely with the COO, CFO, executive leadership team, and Board. This leader helps translate Point Wild’s vision—building a scaled, integrated platform spanning cyber risk, data, compliance, and managed services—into actionable strategic priorities, disciplined M&A execution, and a clear, credible value-creation narrative for investors. Key Responsibilities: 1. Enterprise & Portfolio Strategy (40%) Partner with the Head of Corporate Development, COO and executive leadership team to define and evolve Point Wild’s enterprise strategy, including portfolio positioning, platform integration, and long-range growth priorities. Conduct market and competitive analysis across Point Wild’s core focus areas, including cybersecurity, data intelligence, AI-enabled services, compliance, and managed services. Support strategic decision-making related to build vs. buy, product expansion, and go-to-market evolution across operating companies. Help drive alignment across Point Wild’s multi-brand portfolio by translating strategy into clear operating priorities, KPIs, and execution roadmaps. Support annual strategic planning, quarterly business reviews, and executive/Board-level strategy discussions. 2. Corporate Development & M&A (40%) Partner with leadership and finance organization on Point Wild’s corporate development efforts, including platform acquisitions, tuck-ins, and strategic partnerships aligned to the firm’s investment thesis. Help source and manage a robust deal pipeline, maintaining close relationships with bankers, advisors, and industry contacts. Partner on financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis for potential acquisitions and investments. Participate in cross-functional due diligence across finance, legal, HR, technology, security, and operations, ensuring deals are executable and value-accretive. Partner with functional leaders to support post-merger integration planning, with a focus on operational leverage, technology integration, and revenue synergies. Prepare investment theses, deal materials, and recommendations for executive leadership and the Board. 3. Investor Relations & Board Support (20%) Support Point Wild’s investor and lender communications, including strategy decks, data rooms, and recurring performance updates. Partner closely with the CFO to develop a consistent, compelling value-creation narrative across portfolio companies. Prepare Board materials related to strategy, M&A activity, capital allocation, and long-range planning. Participate in investor meetings, diligence discussions, and strategic updates as needed. Help ensure alignment between Point Wild’s internal strategy and its external messaging to investors and stakeholders. What you bring to the table: Experience in multi-entity or portfolio company environments. Prior exposure to private equity-backed or sponsor-owned companies. MBA or equivalent advanced degree. Job Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, or management consulting.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading M&A transactions end-to-end.
- Comfort working directly with senior executives and Boards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
