Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer

• Build, automate, and maintain an exemplary Linux infrastructure • Ensure infrastructure is available, scalable, secure, performant, and fully reproducible • Emphasize modern tooling and following a stringent software development lifecycle • Develop operational tooling in Python, Ruby, or similar languages • Design and implement systems that are highly available and self-healing • Create metrics, monitoring, visualizations, and alerting systems

Job Requirements

  • At least 7 years of working as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer
  • In-Depth understanding of Linux fundamentals regarding filesystems, process scheduling, virtual memory management, and other base primitives
  • In-Depth understanding of the TCP/IP network protocol and addressing
  • Significant experience developing operational tooling in Python, Ruby, or similar language
  • Significant experience with Configuration Management platform (Ansible, Puppet, Chef))
  • Experience with metrics, monitoring and visualization tools (Prometheus, Influx, Grafana)

Role Description The Network Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of network engineers, developing and implementing strategies to ensure Vetcor’s network is able to support the needs of the business. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in network technologies and procedures. The Network Infrastructure Manager will work closely with IT, Security, Legal, and other departments.
