Job Description

QA Analyst, Feature Team A

Testronic

• You will work within Feature Team A to ensure gameplay features are functional, cohesive, and immersive across the entire player experience. • Execute manual testing for all gameplay features, validating functionality, performance, and player experience. • Conduct regression, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure stability across builds. • Document, track, and prioritize issues in JIRA, providing clear and actionable feedback to developers and designers. • Maintain detailed and up-to-date test cases and plans for all pod content. • Validate Buildings functionality, construction times, cost scaling, repair flow, and backend-driven configuration of base progression. • Conduct functional and systemic QA for all Champion-related systems: acquisition, leveling, traits, active abilities, and combat modifiers. • Test end-to-end reward flows across all game systems integrating with the centralized reward pipeline (combat, events, missions, milestones, purchases). • Conduct functional and systemic tests for galaxy map navigation, fog-ofwar systems, point-of-interest discovery, and map-based rewards. • Test progression-based, milestone-based, and event-driven achievements across all game systems. • Perform systemic testing for fleet creation, coordination, combat resolution, and reward distribution. • Test all Inbox message types including system messages, player-targeted communications, time-limited rewards, updates, and GM messages.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of QA experience in live games, 4X/strategy titles, RPG progression systems, or systems-driven gameplay development.
  • Experience testing base building & RTS fog of war mechanics.
  • Understanding of economy design principles; rarity tiers, scaling curves, and data-driven progression systems common in 4X or live service strategy games.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex system interaction mechanics.
  • Experience designing and maintaining structured test plans, test cases, fixtures, and coverage matrices for dynamic or metadata-driven systems.
  • A passion for strategy games, 4X mechanics, and long-form progression systems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and producers, translating technical findings into actionable feedback.

What You Will Do As a QA Engineer embedded within the Core Tech Pod, you will be responsible for validating the foundational technologies, services, and systems that power our game ecosystem. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies across gameplay systems, engine-level features, tools, backend integrations, and platform-critical functionality. Feature & Systems Validation • Develop and execute manual and automated test suites for core gameplay systems, Unity engine components, client–server flows, and platform features. Conduct regression, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure stability across builds. • Perform deep functional, integration, regression, performance, and compatibility testing across mobile devices and development environments. • Validate behavior across multiple build configurations, feature flags, and environment setups (dev, staging, live).
