• The Software Developer / OpenText AppWorks Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting software components in alignment with evolving functional requirements, commercial best practices, and DoD accreditation/security standards. • This role supports CMTARS and related systems by implementing new modules, resolving interface issues, conducting regression testing, and collaborating closely with AFRBA, onsite support personnel, and project teams. • The contractor will perform development work from their location while coordinating with onsite representatives for requirement prioritization. • Proposed software changes will be reviewed monthly by the AFRBA Configuration Control Board. • This position requires deep expertise in OpenText AppWorks, custom component development, JavaScript/Marionette coding, and integrated platforms such as Box.com and Salesforce.

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) • Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces (dashboard, admin, coach/trainer portals, internal tools) • Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable, tested code across the stack • Design data models and optimize queries for performance and reliability • Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC) • Integrate third-party services (payments, notifications, analytics, fitness platforms, wearables) • Implement background jobs, queues, and scheduled workflows • Ensure security best practices (OWASP), privacy, and safe handling of user data • Set up observability (logs, monitoring, alerts) and improve system reliability • Collaborate with product, design, mobile, and QA teams, participate in code reviews and sprint planning

• Build and maintain the Nurse Dashboard using Next.js or React • Contribute to voice AI agent logic using Vapi or Retell • Write backend Python components to support voice workflows and data integrations • Use AI coding tools like Cursor to deliver fast, high quality code • Work with product, engineering and clinical teams to clarify requirements • Ensure performance, security, and reliability of user facing features
