Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Controller to design, optimize, and manage accounting and operational systems for a real estate company engaged in property acquisition, rehabilitation, leasing, property management, and disposition. This role reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with leadership by providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to support operational and investment decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-entity accounting, real estate construction or rehabilitation accounting, and single-family property management, and will be capable of building and maintaining institutional-quality accounting processes. The Controller will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and FP&A, including: - AP, AR, payroll - Bank and credit card reconciliations - Cash management - Monthly financial reporting This role will oversee accounting for property acquisitions, capitalized rehab and turn costs, rental and property management operations, and property sales, optimize the current QuickBooks Online environment, and implement and manage a structured monthly close calendar to ensure timely and accurate reporting. The Controller will also support the evaluation and implementation of accounting and operational systems, including CRMs, and play a key role in planning and executing a future ERP migration from QuickBooks Online to Sage Intacct. The Controller is a senior-level professional at Momentum Accounting responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of clients. This role requires a high degree of technical proficiency, professional judgment, and the ability to serve as a trusted financial resource for clients. The Controller takes ownership of client engagements from end to end, managing deadlines proactively, communicating clearly, and providing meaningful financial insight that supports client decision-making. Role Description In this role, you will be responsible for the financial accounting, reporting, control, and statutory compliance of the Middle East legal entities with a key focus on the UAE.
