Financial Controller

BSI

Role Description In this role, you will be responsible for the financial accounting, reporting, control, and statutory compliance of the Middle East legal entities with a key focus on the UAE. This role ensures that timely, accurate and high-quality financial information is delivered to Group Finance and local stakeholders in accordance with local requirements and regulations. - Own and lead the financial accounting and reporting activities for ME entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information. - Ensure all local tax filings and statutory deadlines are met in full compliance with local legislation, working in conjunction with the Group Tax team. - Perform regular reviews of balance sheets, reconciliations and cash flows. - Resolve discrepancies and drive consistent reconciliation quality and documentation standards. - Actively manage and enhance working capital performance by building a strong understanding of key drivers and movements across ME entities and identifying opportunities for improvement. - Manage relationships with external and internal auditors and ensure audits are completed on time and without significant issues. - Ensure compliance with all local accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements across ME entities. - Review payroll outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Prepare final settlements for ME leavers in accordance with local labour and statutory requirements. - Take ownership of additional ad‑hoc finance‑related responsibilities as required to support the ME region and Group Finance objectives. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. - At least 8 years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, controlling, audit or finance leadership. - Understanding of the Middle East and/or UAE processes and requirements. - Experience of tax accounting and indirect tax matters. - Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
