• Contribute to and collaborate with WirePlumber, PipeWire, and ALSA upstream communities • Design, integrate, and ship embedded Linux audio systems that work reliably in real-world products • Implement and debug PipeWire + WirePlumber stacks, including ALSA, DSPs, and system-level interactions • Work directly with customer teams to translate requirements into robust audio architectures and solutions • Support adjacent areas like Bluetooth audio and Linux audio tooling to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently • Explain complex audio architecture decisions to product teams, provide honest assessments and build trust through transparent communication

• Participate in the entire project lifecycle (Analysis, Design, Development, and Support). • Contribute to defining development conventions and standards. • Collaborate with other teams to improve software quality across all levels (DevOps, Architecture, Quality Assurance, and Business Analysis). • Support the skill development of junior colleagues. • Improve the quality of existing code through continuous refactoring, unit testing, and monitoring of code quality metrics. • Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives). • Take part in estimating user stories. • Participate in the code review process.

• Play a key role in the design and development of distribution transformers in compliance with IEEE, CSA, and customer specifications. • Lead the electrical design and development of distribution transformers, ensuring compliance with IEEE, CSA, DOE, IEC, utility, and customer specifications. • Serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert for transformer electrical design. • Establish and maintain engineering design practices, technical standards, and design methodologies. • Design, develop and review electrical specifications for distribution transformers. • Develop and review electrical designs for distribution transformers including core type and sizing, coil designs. • Perform electrical calculations, including impedance, losses, efficiency, insulation and fuse coordination. • Utilize engineering software for electrical modeling and simulation. • Participate in design reviews and analysis related to product performance and manufacturability. • Lead new product development projects and improvement initiatives. • Ensure designs meet applicable industry regulations and standards. • Stay updated on evolving industry standards. • Lead and support all electrical certification and testing requirements. • Provide technical oversight when required for type testing on site or at external labs. • Provide technical direction and mentorship to design engineers and other engineering personnel. • Lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and operations teams. • Support and guide manufacturing and assembly teams on winding specifications. • Support customers with technical inquiries. • Provide technical support during prototype builds, production, and customer testing. • Participate in pre-order and post-order design reviews to confirm technical compliance.
