Role Description We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst to help us change the way the world works, with Parallels: anytime, anywhere, any-device productivity. As a Data Analyst, you will: - Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks. - Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and in-depth analysis aimed at identifying opportunities and optimizing strategies. - Develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. - Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity. - Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and integrate to create a holistic view of our strategies in action. - Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. - Plan, design, and create reports, cubes, dashboards, and models for executives and other business users to meet strategic and operational needs. - Filter and “clean” data by understanding expected patterns and identifying outliers and unexplained variances. - Work with internal Data engineering and management teams to solve complex data problems around quality and tracking to constantly improve trust in the analytics produced. - Work with management to prioritize business and information needs. - Locate and define new BI improvement opportunities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics. - 3+ years’ experience mining, understanding and interpreting data as a data analyst. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. - Adept at queries, report writing, and comfortable presenting findings to Senior Executives through sharp visualization. - Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, Power BI), databases (SQL, etc.) and knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.). - Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. - Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques. - Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
