• Partner with executive leadership within our customers to interpret their business objectives, collaborate on the technical roadmaps and products (Toast and partner integrations), and influence key decisions about new technologies to drive customer and Toast growth. • Scope and lead key technical deployment projects for key customers, coordinating efforts across Toast teams, our partners, and customer’s organization. • Coordinate across internal teams to help our customers solve their challenges and identify scalable solutions for sales and profitability growth • Mitigate risks and issues as key technical point of contact across technical and systems functions • Help our customers solve their most pressing challenges when it comes to Toast and integrations, balancing short and long term priorities • Represent our customers’ needs to our Toast internal product and solutions teams, helping our teams prioritize roadmaps and feature enhancements with largest ROI

• Partner with sales and success to deliver technical presentations • Design, develop, deploy and manage customer-specific proof of value (PoV) projects • Build custom reports and dynamic dashboards for management teams • Assist with functional and technical elements of RFPs • Stay current on new feature releases and maintain updated demo spaces

Role Description Ciklum is looking for a Java Architect to join our team full-time in Poland. As a Java Architect, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You will work inside the embedded pod, owning service-level delivery against the Salesforce-to-microservices migration and net-new platform features. One of the two backend seats focuses on domain modelling and core service delivery; the other focuses on async messaging and event flows. The split is not rigid — both seats need both skill sets. Responsibilities: - Own the technical roadmap and sequencing of the Salesforce → microservices migration. - Define bounded contexts, the order of extraction, and the parallel-run / cutover strategy. - Set engineering standards for the pod — ADRs, code review bar, branching model, definition of done. - Run the pod's delivery rhythm: planning, demos, retros, weekly engineering written update to Client. - Personally code 40–60% of the time. This is a hands-on lead role, not an architect-on-the-sidelines role. - Front the technical relationship with Client — RFC reviews, architectural debates, escalation point for blockers. - Own quality at the pod level: SLOs are met, test coverage holds, deployments don't break trunk. - Be the productivity multiplier on AI tooling for the pod — set the patterns for Copilot/Claude Code use, prompt libraries, AI-assisted code review. Qualifications - 8+ years building Java backend systems, with at least 3 years on Spring Boot in production. - Demonstrable monolith-to-microservices migration experience as the technical lead — not as a contributor. - Strong AWS architectural experience — VPC design, IAM, RDS PostgreSQL, ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS or equivalent. - Hands-on with async messaging architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS, or equivalent) including idempotency, ordering, and backpressure. - Track record of leading pods of 4–8 engineers in a fully remote or hybrid setting. - Native-level English — written and spoken. Requirements - Direct experience with Salesforce data extraction and migration to a relational target. - Working experience with AI agent frameworks — LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or comparable. - Logistics, supply chain, B2B marketplace, or WMS / TMS domain background. - Prior technical-lead role in a Series B–C scale-up that grew from 5 to 50+ engineers. - Open-source contributions or technical writing that demonstrate the engineering bar.
