Senior Accounting Manager
Function
Role Description The Senior Accounting Manager will own the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of Function Health’s core accounting operations, ensuring our financial foundation remains strong as we grow. You will lead critical components of the monthly close while building the structure, documentation, and controls that enable a high-performing accounting function. As we continue to scale, expand internationally, and increase operational complexity, you will help design and hire the next phase of the accounting team, establish clear workflows and controls, and elevate the function from execution to excellence. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a leader who can operate in the details while building the structure needed to support a fast-growing, multi-product health technology company. If you’re looking for meaningful challenges, dynamic work, and the opportunity to make a real impact—we’d love to meet you. - Own and elevate the month-end close across payroll, cost of sales, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and consolidations, bringing discipline, accountability, and improved timelines to core processes. - Lead preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses, maintaining a consistently clean general ledger and GAAP-compliant financial reporting. - Establish and oversee scalable intercompany processes across domestic and foreign entities, including reconciliations, eliminations, FX accounting, and consolidation adjustments. - Design and strengthen internal controls and documentation to create audit-ready processes and financials. - Identify structural gaps and implement automation and systems improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work. - Transition key accounting workflows from outsourced providers to in-house ownership, raising the bar for quality and accountability. - Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, People, and external advisors to ensure accounting reflects operational reality. - Help shape the future accounting organization, contributing to hiring strategy, role design, and development of a high-performing team. - Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting talent, setting clear expectations and a high standard for performance and ownership.
