Role Description The Vice President, Operations and Analytics will serve as the organization's principal architect and steward of data-driven execution and technology. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this leader will transform organizational data, systems, and technology into actionable insight and high-impact operations — while ensuring that our performance story is told compellingly to funders, partners, boards, and the communities we serve. This role exists to ensure that strategy is consistently and effectively executed through disciplined implementation and rigorous analysis. The VP will build and lead a team of analytics and operations professionals, managing at least one direct report to start, and will serve as a cross-functional leader across the organization. Qualifications - 10+ years of relevant leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing cross-functional teams or direct reports in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment - Deep analytics expertise: demonstrated ability to design and manage integrated data systems, performance frameworks, and impact measurement infrastructure - AI and technology fluency: proven experience applying AI-enabled analytics, automation tools, and enterprise systems to advance organizational goals - Track record of external communication: experience presenting data and impact findings to boards, funders, government agencies, or public audiences with clarity and confidence - Equity-centered practice: demonstrated experience using disaggregated data to identify disparities and partnering with program or policy teams to drive more equitable outcomes - Strong alignment with Leading Edge’s mission and values, particularly regarding sector-wide talent, leadership, and workplace culture advancement. This role requires a highly articulate, technically savvy BSA who can confidently engage with accountants and business stakeholders, translate needs into clear technical requirements, and proactively drive clarity and prioritization. The ideal candidate is senior, decisive, comfortable speaking up, and focused on moving work forward. This is a remote, 6 month contract-to-hire with a pay range of $60-70/hr and salary conversion up to 150k.
