Resource Innovations

• Work with our engagement and communications team in: • Researching and writing reports and creating content for other materials summarizing CalMTA’s work and initiatives. • Providing technical copy editing, fact check, and sourcing of reports and studies developed by partners and contractors • Concepting and creating high quality, data driven visuals to support the sharing of information • Developing presentation material that delivers on key messages and outcomes • Supporting document production and adherence to CalMTA brand standards and messaging • Participating in planning and execution of activities to promote CalMTA activities and progress. • Functions as a cooperative and cohesive member of project teams • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Must be located in the state of California
  • B.S. or B.A. preferred
  • 5+ years work experience in energy efficiency and subject matter knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience writing and editing a range of technical documents and marketing documents
  • Comfortable working with technical material for editing, fact checking, and citing work
  • Experience with data visualization and concepting technical content for graphical representation
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite particularly formatting styles in Word and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated and positive attitude
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Commitment to high-quality partner and team service and the ability to address issues/concerns
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demands

Role Description This role serves as the primary owner of first party property complex commercial claims, driving resolution outcomes, managing defense strategy, and ensuring alignment with organization objectives. The position bridges claims and legal by translating strategy into execution, proactively identifying opportunities for early resolution. - Responsible for handling large, complex claim files, including litigated matters, catastrophic claims, structural building damage, multiple location damage, including business income exposure and other extensive exposure claims, in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. - Set reserves and settle claims within level of authority. - Direct work of defense and coverage attorneys. - Actively share knowledge with team members, contribute to training programs, and mentor other claim representatives. - Stay abreast of current and emerging complex litigation claim settlement issues, trends, court decisions, and plaintiff bar activities. - Partner with CM Group stakeholders to share information and analyze potential impacts on our products and chosen markets. - This role requires strong knowledge of First-Party Property coverage forms and claims handling.
