B2B Events Manager

Future plc

• Manage live events, driving customer experience to an all-time high. • Oversee creative delivery of concept, vision, communications, registration, set-up, technology, and logistics, working with internal and external partners in all live events. • Conduct site visits and present information to company partners. • Manage the timeline for event deliverables and the team members responsible for the action (i.e. marketing, content, and sales). • Help develop concepts/solutions for custom event pitches • Prioritize competing tasks with ease and manage deadline • Source, negotiate terms, and manage vendors/contractors for event production, including venues, F&B, and printers. • Negotiate all costs related to show production, features, and staffing. • Manage insurance requirements • Oversee the conference producers, deadlines and delivery milestones. • Manage sponsor communications and oversee deliverables. • Budget management, ensuring accurate forecasts, maintenance and reconciliation of the budget. • Communicate with sponsors to fulfill their operational contractual arrangements. • Produce post-event reports with recommendations and developments. • Manage Show Daily distribution at major trade shows, including hotel room drops and show floor distribution

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience at the event producer/event manager level in a conference or tradeshow environment.
  • Expertise in managing end-to-end execution of live events, including high-profile and complex productions.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when working with sponsors, partners, and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to a high standard of work.
  • Experience managing the event project team and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in budget management, including accurate forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, project management tools (e.g., Asana), and event-specific software.
