Data Center Network Engineer
Armada
• Design and implement cloud networking solutions in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud to meet organizational needs. • Configure and maintain networking equipment from Juniper/Cisco core devices and switches (and others where necessary), ensuring seamless connectivity, optimal performance, and security. • Deploy and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Transit Gateways, and VPN configurations. • Hands-on experience is a must. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess networking requirements and develop strategic networking architecture. • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring reliability of services, minimal downtime, and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs). • Monitor network performance using appropriate tools and technologies, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations. • Document network configurations, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Maintain clear and organized config records. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to networking and cloud solutions. • Utilize best practices in modular data center and distributed cloud environments to enhance scalability and flexibility.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on data center environments.
- Strong proficiency in configuring and managing Juniper and Cisco networking equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in cloud networking design and deployment, specifically in Azure and/or AWS/Google Cloud.
- In-depth knowledge of VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, VPNs, and their configurations with hands on experience.
- Familiarity with Cradlepoint, Peplink, and Opengear is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments both within a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- US Citizenship required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, Azure/AWS Certified) are preferred.
