Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team to support our sales teams in the Financial vertical. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements. Responsibilities - Provide in depth expertise across HPC, Cloud and AI/ML domains in the enterprise space. - Participate in the identification, qualification and closing of sales opportunities. - Assist with technical responses to RFIs and RFPs. - Ensure customer requirements are appropriately interpreted and contribute to the development of comprehensive solutions. - Develop and conduct product presentations involving product capabilities, solution architecture and design. - Serve as sales team liaison to internal technical staff such as Product Management, Operations and Engineering. - Provide Operations team with appropriate product/cluster/network requirements and design intent to build out factory integrated solutions. - Travel throughout the assigned sales region to perform technical sales and promote Penguin solutions vs. competitor’s solutions. Qualifications - Minimum of 7 years technical sales experience, proven track record of closing sales deals. - Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to travel as needed up to 50% throughout the assigned region. - A strong combination of the following: - Strong knowledge of cloud technologies including Openstack and Kubernetes. - DevOps knowledge and experience. - Strong knowledge of Linux and cloud automation tools (CloudFormation, ansible or similar tools). - Large RFP response experience. - Design experience in Ethernet and InfiniBand networking, preferably with associated switch and fabric configurations. - Storage knowledge including parallel, block, file and object store technologies. Preferred Qualifications - Experience selling in the financial sector. - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. - Strong knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC) & AI Infrastructure and application stacks. - Data center infrastructure knowledge. - In-depth knowledge of Linux cluster technologies and optimization techniques. - File systems and Software Defined Storage e.g. Lustre, Gluster, GPFS/ESS, VAST, WekaIO, CEPH, SWIFT, Cinder. Location We are looking for a candidate in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut within a commutable distance to the New York City area. Compensation & Benefits - The cash compensation range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this remote position is $200,000 - $240,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education and location. - The position has medical, dental, and vision benefits available. - There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan. Compensation for this position The compensation range for this role is $61,410-$123,100. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits.
