Underwriting Assistant

Role Description The Underwriting Assistant (AB) is responsible for providing administrative support to the Regional Program Manager or Underwriters. - Mapping all new business and renewals - Enter required information into SIM, Guidewire, Passport, and Bordereau. - Issue the policies according to the underwriters' quotation and instructions. - Issue endorsements in systems where required including terminations and reinstatements on a timely and accurate basis. - Prepare files for underwriting review and attach all documentation required for underwriting. - Review and respond to all broker requests on a timely basis. - Identify problematic issues that may affect service and/or quality and report them to management. - Provide service as per best practices of the company consistent with national standards and policies. - Review certificates, losses and other correspondence and refer to underwriter where necessary. Please note, salary range is not inclusive of total compensation. The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.
