Role Description We're looking for a highly versatile and strategic leader to join BILL as a Sr. Manager, Pricing Operations / PMO. This critical role sits at the intersection of pricing strategy, execution, and oversight. You'll drive the integrity, efficiency, and data-driven optimization of our pricing models, ensuring our pricing is accurately implemented, effectively measured, and consistently applied for our SMB customers. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Program Management & Execution (PMO) - End-to-End Delivery: Lead the planning and execution of strategic pricing initiatives, from initial ideation and "Price Book" configuration to launch and post-launch reviews. - Roadmap & Prioritization: Maintain project plans, resource capacity models, and roadmaps to ensure timely completion of price changes, new product implementations, and acquisition integrations. - Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the primary connector between Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to manage interdependencies and drive resolution of operational roadblocks. - System Architecture & Integrity - Technical Ownership: Serve as the business owner for pricing and billing infrastructure (e.g., CPQ, CRM, Billing Platforms), ensuring that the technical configuration of SKUs and rules reflects approved pricing models. - Product/Engineering Partnership: Work closely with technical teams to prioritize system enhancements and ensure seamless integration of transaction-based fees and subscription tiers. - Tooling Optimization: Continuously audit and improve system functionality to drive "touchless" billing and maximize user adoption across Sales and Provisioning teams. - Pricing Compliance & Risk Mitigation - Audit & Controls: Design and execute regular audits of pricing implementation across all systems and channels to identify discrepancies, unauthorized configurations, or revenue leakage. - Data Stewardship: Maintain 100% data integrity within the Price Book and backend systems, ensuring BILL meets all internal and external Audit and Compliance requirements. - Issue Resolution: Promptly identify and resolve pricing errors, implementing long-term procedural controls to minimize recurring issues. - Operational Excellence & Enablement - Process Transformation: Analyze current workflows to find efficiencies, redesigning everything from discounting workflows and exception handling to billing reconciliation. - Change Management: Develop comprehensive communication plans and training programs to ensure internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, etc.) understand and can correctly apply pricing updates. - Reporting & Insights: Provide transparent, data-driven status updates to senior leadership, highlighting project progress, system health, and key operational risks. Qualifications - 10+ years of proven experience in Project / Program management with a minimum of 2 years of pricing experience. (PMP preferred) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in developing clear and compelling slides for Senior Leadership audiences. - Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. - Proactively and quickly make sense of complex issues; respond effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicate complex information simply. - Ability to run multiple projects & priorities, seamlessly moving between strategy & execution. - Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with experience inspiring change across a global & matrix organization. - Team player, entrepreneurial approach, and the ability to get things done in cross-functional teams.
