Senior Manager, Contract Development
Amgen
• Lead contracting strategy and execution for assigned national payer accounts, in alignment with brand and business objectives. • Own the end-to-end contract development process in partnership with Market Access account management, Legal, Coverage and Pricing, and other cross-functional stakeholders. • Develop pricing proposals, term sheets, RFP responses, and amendments to support customer negotiations and contract renewals. • Serve as the business owner for assigned customer contracts, including contract strategy, negotiation support, execution, and issue escalation. • Provide clear, decision-oriented insights to senior leadership on account dynamics, pricing considerations, and contract recommendations. • Maintain a strong understanding of assigned customers, including business model, membership trends, financial considerations, market position, and relevant organizational changes. • Partner with cross-functional teams to support product-specific pricing strategies and ensure contract terms are operationally executable. • Support post-signature contract needs, including contract interpretation, payment-related questions, dispute resolution, formulary validation, and other operational matters. • Deliver ad hoc analysis and recommendations related to customer strategy, contract performance, and pricing decisions.

- Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales & marketing operations experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience
- Advanced degree preferred (i.e. MBA or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience solving complex business problems and managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to read and understand complex legal contract documents.
- Pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales and marketing experience.
- Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and leadership experience.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Previous experience providing and delivering information for decision making by executive management.
- Ability to manage in a highly fluid, interactive, matrixed environment.
- Deep understanding of the US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement environment.
- Previous experience leading a contract development team.

Role We are looking for a Senior Partner Business Manager to join our Global Partner Ecosystem department. This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne or Canberra (requiring 3 days a week in the office), reporting to the Senior Director, Partner Sales. Your core purpose is to build and scale high-performing partner relationships by aligning joint strategy, enablement, and go-to-market execution to drive mutual revenue growth. • Own end-to-end ADM delivery for PLM (3DEXPERIENCE), MES, and regulated compliance applications. • Ensure SLA, KPI, and service quality compliance across L1/L2/L3 support operations. • Lead ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management with a focus on stability and defect reduction. • Oversee PLM–MES–ERP integration stability, enhancements, fixes, and release deployments. • Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance (GxP, SOX, ISO), and adherence to validation and quality standards. • Act as the single point of contact for ADM service governance, client engagement, and stakeholder management. • Drive governance cadence, financial tracking, automation, productivity improvement, and continuous service optimization.
