Job Summary The Networking Solutions Specialist acts as the technical point of contact for networking solutions and serves as an intermediary to route opportunities to the appropriate resources. This role aligns closely with sales teams to support solution growth objectives. The Networking Solutions Specialist brings advanced technical expertise within their core networking discipline and maintains intermediate knowledge across adjacent technology areas. This individual builds and sustains strategic relationships with Sellers, Solution Architects, and Solutions Specialists from other practice areas and is regarded as a trusted partner in driving business growth. What You Will Do * Maintains advanced knowledge of networking solutions to discover, qualify, recommend, and compare products and services * Explains the features, benefits, and technical specifications of primary, secondary, emerging, complementary, and advanced networking technologies * Maintains intermediate-level knowledge of adjacent technologies, including security, data center, cloud connectivity, wireless, SD-WAN, load balancing, and related disciplines * Engages with customers and prospects to uncover business needs, discuss solutions at a conceptual level, and recommend relevant networking solutions * Uncovers additional related solutions through discovery beyond the original networking scope * Participates in CDW customer events, delivering business-focused networking presentations through virtual platforms * Contributes to the sales team's knowledge base and shares information with Solution Specialists and Sales * Provides Sales with best practices and guidance on identifying and communicating networking solutions and services opportunities * Counsels Sales on foundational networking concepts and the competitive landscape * Collaborates regularly with Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) coworkers to align on go-to-market strategies * Attends required partner and specialist training, along with independent learning, labs, and certification work * Maintains strategic relationships with CDW's networking partners * Attains role-level certifications within primary and adjacent networking disciplines * Explains, at a high level, how networking technologies are installed and implemented * Determines whether to triage or directly support opportunities presented to the networking specialist based on complexity and scope * Handles prioritization of multiple responsibilities and concurrent opportunities What We Expect of You * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, OR 3+ years of technical solutions sales and/or hands-on networking experience * Demonstrated success engaging with and supporting sales teams * Ability to execute against territory goals and performance metrics * Adaptability to changing business needs, practice priorities, and team coverage models * Ability to present networking solutions and deliver technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences * Ability to think creatively and develop proactive ideas that drive sales growth * Strong passion for learning and teaching others * Strong problem-solving skills * Self-motivated and able to work independently * Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences * Proven success and experience selling networking solutions and services, is a plus * Technical accreditations and/or certifications with several of the following: CCNA, CCNP, Network+, PCNSE, or equivalent networking certifications, is a plus Pay range: $52,000 - $95,300 depending on experience and skill set Annual bonus target of 25% subject to terms and conditions of plan Benefits overview: https://cdw.benefit-info.com/ Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials * CDW is committed to being an AI-fluent organization * We're looking for people who bring curiosity, a learner's mindset, and a willingness to engage with ever-evolving technology and tools. Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Job Description: IAP is seeking a Subject Matter Expert IV to support DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Army Research Directorate in their Applied Research for the Advancement of S&T Priorities (ARAP) - Classical-Quantum Hybrid Constructs to Advance Weapons Science (CLAWS). CLAWS brings disruptive chip-scale quantum photonic devices to the joint fight by combining classical and quantum constructs to revolutionize weapon science, enabling greater precision at longer range for higher lethality. A subject matter expert with Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience is required to develop benchmark, and validate machine-learning (ML) methods for the prediction, classification, and reconstruction of orbital angular momentum (OAM)  states in vortex beams for real-time positioning of the system in motion using interferometric Inertial   Measuring Unit (IMU) Location will be at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Deliver a ML-enabled OAM sensing framework that can infer or recover OAM content from intensity, phase, interferometric, and/or sparse-sensor observations under realistic distortion conditions. - Create a curated simulation-first dataset, with experimental extension, covering single-mode and multiplexed OAM states across controlled disturbance regimes. - Develop baseline classifiers for topological charge identification using full-frame and sparse-point features. - Integrate the best-performing methods into a documented prototype workflow suitable for transition to communications, imaging, or adaptive-optics studies. - Establish the operating concept, measurement assumptions, target OAM ranges, computational environment, and evaluation plan. - Produce a literature-grounded design baseline spanning OAM generation, measurement, communications relevance, and recent ML methods. - Build a reproducible dataset covering Laguerre-Gaussian and related OAM modes, topological charge ranges, modal superpositions, propagation effects, detector noise, and controlled distortions based on laboratory-acquired measurements to enable simulation-to-real validation. - Develop benchmark models for single-mode OAM classification and/or regression of topological charge. - Compare conventional image-based CNN/ResNet baselines with lower-dimensional encodings such as sparse-point or engineered features inspired by the source document. - Integrate data pipeline, trained models, evaluation scripts, and documentation into a demonstration package. - Conduct validation against metrics, and recommend next-phase work for fieldable sensing, communications, imaging, or quantum/measurement applications. - Provide bi-weekly status updates (word doc or PowerPoint) - Participate in meetings with the government - Provide deliverables on-time within government schedule EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:  (or equivalent) - PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences. - 10 years’ experience in technology design and development of hardware systems or subsystems. - 5 years’ experience designing, developing, and testing in RDT&E directly related to the PWS KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: - Thorough knowledge Microsoft Office Suite. - Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks independently. - Excellent follow-through and time management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Role Description Provides support for member waiver coordination activities.
