Structural Engineer
Mercor
Role Description - Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance in architecture and civil/structural engineering. - Produce original problem sets using plans, sections, load diagrams, and site imagery. - Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks. - Annotate tasks to enhance AI model outputs and ensure accuracy. - Work independently with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines and improve task quality. Qualifications - Must-Have: - PhD in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or - Licensed PE/RA with 3+ years of practice, or - BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering with 5+ years of design or construction experience. - Working fluency in at least two of: structural analysis, building systems, site/transportation engineering, or architectural design. - Comfortable reading construction drawings, structural details, and architectural plans. - Preferred: - Prior teaching, code consulting, or technical publishing experience.
