• Creates and executes an operationally efficient daily regional call plan. • Effectively and efficiently manages the assigned region with a regular call cycle that results in the delivery of appropriate/defined customer touches while also making off-cycle, discretionary calls, as situations require. • Conducts proactive outbound calls to targeted groups of accounts in order to maximize purchasing opportunities, grow sales revenue, develop customer loyalty and foster support of the company programs and services through cross-selling and upselling. • Conducts pre-call research and planning to set goals for the call and to anticipate customer needs through consultative selling framework. • Solicits competitive intelligence information from customers. • Generates professional quotes and inquire on all quotes for which orders were not placed to develop competitive information and share with appropriate departments. • Schedules follow up inquiries to progress the sales cycle. • Develops and maintains strong customer relationships with a group of customer accounts. • Generates and analyzes reports to identify customer trends to take advantage of the trend or minimize the impact of the trend. • Accesses ordering systems to assist customers with availability information and ordering. • Collaborates with Regional Director to analyze current trends with customers and creates formalized business development plans through a OneAB approach. • Conducts prospecting calls to recruit customers interested in doing business with the company and evaluating current customer leakage points. • Participates in department meetings. • Enters and maintains integrity of data in company CRM software programs.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a demonstrated history of successful application of consultative selling skills in a diverse customer marketplace resulting in improved customer sales.
  • Broad training in fields such as sales, marketing, business administration, accountancy, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education are required.
  • Normally requires three (3+) plus years directly related and progressively responsible sales experience.
  • Experience in the animal health industry is highly desirable.
