Data Analyst

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements for data analysis and reporting • Measure, track, and analyze operations efficiency, identify trends, work with stakeholders to understand root causes, and translate learnings into actionable insights. • Build, own, and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards and present insights to business partners and executive leadership. • Design, measure, and communicate results from experiments to enable accelerated decision-making about potential process and technology improvements. • Lead the sprint-planning process with business stakeholders to drive alignment on project prioritization and progress. • Support the development of new data visualization and continuous improvement of internal reporting to drive visibility into performance. • Advise leadership on potential opportunities or hazards that affect the business's ability to meet strategic goals.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in an analytics role at a public or high-growth start-up
- Advanced skills in SQL with the ability to write complex and optimized queries, including window functions and CTEs.
- Solid grasp of data visualization best practices and experience with building reports in Tableau or a comparable tool.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Especially adept at communicating technical information as well as making solid and clear recommendations to non-technical senior leadership.
- Results-oriented individual with the ability to identify dependencies, and leverage multiple sources of information at once
- Adept at working cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to ensure goals are met.

What you’ll be working on: As a Data Analyst you will partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists in an agile product environment. Within the Customer Strategy & Marketing space you will act as an internal strategic consultant across the business. • Execute a range of standard and ad hoc analytical projects using SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI, applying structured problem-solving approaches to meet business needs with minimal guidance. • Research, hypothesize, and develop analytical approaches to identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets. • Translate analytical problem statements and data requirements into scalable analytical deliverables, including the development, automation, standardization, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, analyses, and supporting datasets. • Analyze and interpret data using a range of analytical techniques, including descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive methods. • Apply data validation, quality checks, and analytical best practices to ensure outputs are accurate, reproducible, and fit for purpose. • Design and deliver clear data visualizations and technical summaries that support effective data storytelling and interpretation. • Create technically accurate, executive ready presentations and slide decks that communicate analytical results, assumptions, limitations, and implications of findings. • Document and communicate analytical findings, assumptions, and limitations to technical and non-technical audiences as appropriate. • Partner with stakeholders and analytics teammates to clarify analytical objectives, validate assumptions, and deliver technically sound analytics solutions that support business decisions. • Contribute to the advancement of IMA’s data culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective use of analytics in decision-making.
