Construction Administrator
Salas O'Brien
• Interacts with owners, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies. • Keeps Project Managers and Engineers informed on progress of project. • Perform onsite observation of construction progress. • Develop periodic reports related to construction progress and project site conditions. • Assist project engineers with problem solving construction issues. • Utilize basic calculations in resolving construction related issues. • Review submittals and shop drawings, process Requests for Information, review Change Orders, and collect/approve Contract Close-out documentation.
Job Requirements
- Construction administration experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
- Experience in the construction of building projects of all types, including interpretation of contract documents, drawings and specifications, and working knowledge of building codes.
- 3+ years of experience in construction with working knowledge of MEP/FP systems.
- Familiar with life safety and building codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge with computers, computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with construction management software.
- Working knowledge and understanding of building control systems a plus.
- Minimum of high school or GED diploma. An engineering degree is not necessary, but a technical or construction-related education would be recommended. However, construction experience would be considered in lieu of education.

Role Description The Individual Wealth Administrator is responsible for the administration of new business and in-force transactions for Non-Registered, Registered Retirement Savings Plans, and Tax-Free Savings Accounts, acting as Gatekeeper (indexing), and handling emails and inbound calls to our Client Care Centre. What you’ll do: - Administer and follow processes for all products including segregated funds, GIAs, and legacy products. - Issue new policies, rollovers, switches, additional deposits, beneficiary changes, title changes, surrenders, and other changes or transactions on new or existing client policies. - Assess, process, and complete all administrative service requests from internal and external clients as it pertains to Individual Wealth products. - Provide excellent client relationship and servicing of our advisors, MGAs, policyholders, and/or wholesaler team through all channels (inbound and outbound email, phone, mail, fax, and following up on pending requests). - Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients through written and verbal contact using plain language and in a spirit of partnership. - Reconcile simple accounts by verifying ledger entries; investigate discrepancies, and make basic corrections. - Accurately handle requests within same day or otherwise specified service standard times. - Adhere to and participate in Gatekeeper rotation accountabilities including handling the Gatekeeper queue, indexing/printing items into OnBase, preparing journal entries, investigating and identifying incoming work received, handling mail. - Participate in project work ranging from annual administrative projects to key projects supporting Individual Wealth department goals & objectives. - Continued analysis of current procedures and identify/recommend procedural improvements. - Actively contribute as a team member. - Participate in ongoing training and cross-training functions to become proficient in all aspects of the role. - Provide training to other Individual Wealth Administrator staff and Operations team members as required. - Adhere to daily entering of overtime and out of productivity measures.
