Field Service Engineer
Shape Technologies Group
• Plan and supervise customers in the execution of field installations of company products. • Provide technical support and training to customers on the installation, operation, troubleshooting, part identification, and repair of Flow equipment at both the customer’s location and via E-mail, telephone correspondence, fax, etc. • Produce accurate & detailed technical reports. • Assist in maintaining relevant technical documentation. • Work overtime as necessary, sometimes including weekends as per company policy. • Provide assistance to customer service by determining parts required by a customer. • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with our distributors and customers while serving as a liaison between the customer and Flow. • Visit customer locations regularly to audit performance of products and evaluate customer maintenance practices. • Consult with engineering and other departments about design problems/trend failures; may recommend changes and improvements in products. • Suggest and make part list of consumable & spares to customer to upkeep company products & generate Aftermarket business.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Mech. Eng. or Mechatronics.
- Minimum of 3~5 years of recent service-related experience with Robotics, Motion Control Systems, CNC machine tools or other relevant capital equipment.
- Experienced in CNC programming.
- Comprehensive knowledge of company products.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic skills required.
- General diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Independent judgment to analyze and solve technical problems.
- Familiar with Windows, Word, Excel, and CAM software.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and ability to professionally manage and resolve stressful situations.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, initiative and dependability.
- Demonstrated ability for innovative/creative thinking.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to quickly learn the company products and parts.
- Ability to travel to customer locations (may include international travel).

Your Role: You will be a field-based technical sales specialist within the Life Science Division of MilliporeSigma with focus on technical sales of the analytical workflow portfolio including chromatography, reference materials, sample preparation and other analytical techniques. Responsible for meeting a sales target across all industry segments such as Pharma, Testing, Academic and Industrial. You will be responsible for scientific discussions and developing relationships with customers with the main goal of driving the adoption of our vast analytical portfolio, discussing how our products are used in the customer's experiments and collecting feedback. You will be a subject matter expert in the analytical workflow and be able to become fully versed and support new product introductions in the adjacent workflows. Ideally measuring both small and large molecules. Pay Range for this position: $103,500 - $170,800. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
