Technical Writer

• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, manuals, API documentation, white papers, and release notes. • Translate complex technical jargon into clear, simple, and engaging language for the intended audience. • Interview subject matter experts, engineers, and developers to understand product functionality. • Edit, clarify, and proofread documentation written by others to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with style guidelines. • Incorporate, edit, or create graphs, diagrams, and illustrations to enhance the understanding of technical content. • Test and evaluate user documentation for accuracy, often by trying the procedures themselves. • Update, manage, and audit existing documentation to reflect product changes and updates. • Maintain a library of technical terminology and enforce style guidelines across all company documentation
Job Requirements
- 2–5+ years of experience as a technical writer, typically within a technology, software (SaaS), or engineering environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and style.
- Proven ability to quickly learn, understand, and explain complex technical concepts.
- Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker), content management systems (CMS), and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).
- Familiarity with markup languages (HTML, XML, Markdown) and understanding of API documentation or software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Precision in creating instructions.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to imagine the user's perspective.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
