To achieve this, we need great people, who share in our values.  As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you’ll design and manage DevOps pipelines across PaaS-based Azure environments, embedding secure-by-design principles and meeting industry and government security standards. You’ll work closely with development, operations, and security teams to deliver automated, secure, and scalable services, while supporting live and non-production platforms. The role includes 3rd-line support, break-fix and out-of-hours cover on a shift basis, platform optimisation, and providing hands-on technical support to development teams. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include - Deploying, monitoring, maintaining and improving our Azure platform - Providing timely and efficient break-fix support to resolve system issues and minimise downtime in line with Service Level Agreements including out-of-hours. - Monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity, perform infrastructure as code optimisation to ensure cost efficiency and reliable service. - Providing 3rd line support for live Azure Platform services, addressing complex issues and coordinating with internal teams to maintain service uptime. - Delivering and supporting the customers’ infrastructure requirements for service enhancements and new projects. - Leveraging deep expertise in Microsoft Azure’s IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings to design, implement, and managing cloud-based solutions that align with business and technical needs. - Designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with design partners, enabling faster, more reliable software releases. - Implementing best practices for version control, continuous integration, and code review processes. - Using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or terraform to provision and manage Azure cloud resources. Ensure consistent, secure, and reproducible infrastructure deployments. - Implementing security best practices and align infrastructure with compliance frameworks such as the Azure Security Benchmark, CIS benchmark, NIST, NCSC. - Configuring real-time monitoring and alerting within Azure to gain insights into application performance and system health. Set up proactive alerts to respond to any incidents and anomalies promptly. - Fostering strong relationships with software development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices.
