Senior Cognos Report Developer Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Cognos Report Developer with AWS experience to design, develop, and optimize Cognos reports and dashboards for the State Medicaid Data Warehouse. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and cloud teams to ensure seamless reporting solutions. This role requires strong expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, AWS services, and data modeling. Key Responsibilities: · Design, develop, and optimize Cognos reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business requirements. · Work with AWS-hosted DB2 Warehouse Solution to build efficient reporting solutions. · Develop and maintain Cognos Framework Manager models, data modules, and metadata layers for reporting efficiency. · Collaborate with data engineers to structure data for optimal Cognos performance. · Create and optimize complex SQL queries for Cognos reporting, ensuring data accuracy and performance. · Develop custom Cognos extensions and UI enhancements as needed. · Implement role-based security and access control for Cognos users. · Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance report execution performance in a cloud-based environment. · Work closely with business teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. · Stay up-to-date with Cognos Analytics updates, AWS services, and industry best practices. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. · 7+ years of experience in IBM Cognos Analytics development. · Strong experience in AWS infrastructure. · Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning for Cognos reports. · Experience with Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, and Dashboarding. · Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines for Cognos integration. · Familiarity with security and authentication configurations in Cognos. · Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience in Medicaid and/or Healthcare Plans for compliance and operational report generation is strongly preferred. · Experience working with AWS DB2 is a preferred plus. · Knowledge of Python or scripting for automation in AWS. · IBM Cognos certification is a plus.

Job Profile description As a Lead Extend Developer in Kainos, you’ll lead a team of specialist extend consultants on a project, ensuring the successful delivery of extend solutions for the cloud based Workday system. A reasonable base salary range estimate for this position is $177,000 to $230,000. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a target bonus, a very competitive equity grant, and very generous benefits.
