Senior React Native Engineer (Mobile Engineer)

About the Role We are looking for a talented, experienced Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) to join Zeal and build high-quality, scalable, high-performing mobile applications. In this role, you will own the mobile development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to testing and release, while upholding engineering excellence and product quality. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences and continuously improve our mobile platform. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications using React Native and Expo. - Own the end-to-end mobile development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, and release. - Implement and maintain robust testing strategies, including automated testing for functional, regression, and performance coverage. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are embedded throughout the product lifecycle. - Analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve product stability. - Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and reliability across devices. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient testing and deployment. - Define and track engineering and quality metrics to continuously improve delivery standards. - Conduct risk assessments and proactively implement mitigation strategies. - Review code, enforce best practices, and maintain high standards of code quality. - Mentor and support other engineers, contributing to a strong engineering culture. Required Qualifications - 5+ years of mobile development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in React Native and Expo. - Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript. - Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices. - Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or similar). - Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services. - Familiarity with native modules and bridging between React Native and iOS/Android. - Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds, testing, and deployment. - Hands-on experience with App Store and Google Play submission and release processes. - Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have - Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Detox, and Appium. - Knowledge of mobile security best practices. - Experience working in Agile development environments. - Knowledge of native mobile development using Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android). - Experience mentoring or leading engineers. Description Our client is looking to bring on a strong Epic BI Developer to help with reporting and dashboard creation tied to the implementation. Epic's BI Developer role description: Business intelligence developers (BIDs) create analytics content for end users and third parties who require Epic data. Staffing strategy A single BID can create content for several related smaller applications. Specific assignments will vary depending on your scope and application mix. Work with your Epic representatives to determine the best application grouping for business intelligence developers. Ideal BID candidates are well-versed in end-user workflows, as well as domain-specific operational concepts.
