Senior Backend Engineer
MLabs LTD
• System Leadership: Lead and participate in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs. • Scalable Architecture: Architect and implement robust backend solutions capable of handling increasing user loads and evolving business requirements. • Quality Standards: Maintain high coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure best practices for maintainability and readability. • Performance Optimization: Identify system bottlenecks and optimize code and algorithms to improve overall performance. • Proactive Monitoring: Implement monitoring and debugging tools to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring high system availability. • Testing & Reliability: Develop comprehensive test suites—including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests—to ensure backend reliability. • Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior developers to foster technical growth within the team. • Documentation: Document code, APIs, and technical processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and streamline onboarding.
Job Requirements
- Location: Candidates **must** be located in the **EMEA or APAC** regions.
- Technical Expertise: Strong professional experience with **TypeScript** and **Node.js** is required.
- Stellar Experience: Proven experience working with the **Stellar network** in production environments.
- Blockchain Background: Previous experience in the blockchain space with a technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem (or other blockchain environments). Familiarity with Stellar’s **Soroban** smart contracts is a significant plus.
- Seniority: Extensive professional experience in a similar role at a senior or lead level.
- Infrastructural Knowledge: Solid understanding of document databases (MongoDB), caching mechanisms (Redis), and system architecture design.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a proactive manner.
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is considered a plus.
- Language: Very strong written and verbal English skills for effective stakeholder communication.
