Backend Developer, Python

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems • Help maintain code quality, the organization, and automatization • Triage and resolve complex + systemic issues reported on existing production systems • Communicate effectively with project managers, product owners, and development team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization • Contribute to production deployments, including documentation of technical specifications and release notes
Job Requirements
- Expert in Python, with knowledge of Django Web Framework
- Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
- Expert in MySQL
- Fair understanding of building RESTful APIs
- Bonus points for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency knowledge
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Bonus: Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Strong unit test and debugging skills
- Proficient understanding of GitHub
- Documentation knowledge will be a plus point
- Basic understanding of Docker and Docker compose
- Fair understanding of SDLC - Agile
- Knowledge of Linux shell is an added advantage
