Role Description We’re looking for a Video Editor who can transform raw footage into high-quality video content that drives engagement, strengthens our brand, and supports marketing growth. Video is becoming one of the company’s most important growth channels. Right now, editing work is fragmented and slows down our content output. This role exists to bring consistency, speed, and quality to our video production process. As the Video Editor, you will turn raw recordings into polished video assets ready for distribution across multiple channels, helping the marketing team ship content faster and at a higher quality. Responsibilities - Editing assigned video content from raw footage to final deliverable - Exporting video deliverables optimized for different platforms - Managing and organizing editing project files and raw footage - Maintaining consistent editing quality and visual style across all content This role does not include: - Content strategy - Script writing - Filming or recording - Channel performance analytics Success Metrics What Success Looks Like: - After 30 Days: - You understand the company’s content style and brand tone - You can independently edit short-form and long-form ads - You use the company’s editing workflow and AI tools without supervision - Your edits are delivered on time and require minimal revisions - After 60 Days: - You fully own the end-to-end editing of assigned content - You manage raw footage and project files independently - You deliver content optimized for different platforms - After 90 Days: - Content production speed has increased significantly - Standard ad formats (e.g., VSL / ElevenLabs ads) are delivered at competitive speed while maintaining quality - Most edits pass quality control within two revision cycles - Video output is consistent across projects - The marketing team has a reliable editing partner Failure signals: - Consistently missing deadlines - Repeated revisions required for basic issues - Inability to match brand style or pacing - Requiring constant direction to complete tasks - Avoiding ownership of problems Qualifications - 2–5+ years of experience editing video content - Experience editing content for social media, digital marketing, or creators Skills - Professional video editing - Strong storytelling through pacing and cuts - Short-form and long-form video editing - Captioning and video formatting - Strong attention to detail and editing quality Tools - Adobe Premiere Pro - CapCut - Basic motion graphics tools (After Effects or equivalent) Ownership & Collaboration In this role, you will own: - Editing assigned video content end-to-end - Exporting deliverables for different platforms - Managing editing project files - Maintaining video style consistency You will primarily collaborate with: - Director of Ops - Marketing Manager - Creative Strategists Working Conditions - Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (GMT+4) - Location: Remote - Employment Type: Full-time - Contract: Independent contractor agreement Application Requirements To apply, please include: - A portfolio and work samples demonstrating your editing work - Completion of the required test task Our Hiring Process We run a structured, performance-focused hiring process designed to assess real capability and mutual fit. In this role, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content from long-form interviews, podcast recordings, and internal videos—repurposing them into compelling short-form clips for platforms like YouTube Shorts, Reels, and TikTok. Your work will directly support our podcast and marketing teams in driving audience engagement and visual consistency across all channels. Key Responsibilities - Video Editing & Production: - Edit podcast episodes, interviews, and marketing content using DaVinci Resolve Studio (preferred) or Final Cut Pro. - Repurpose long-form content into engaging shorts using Descript and Opus Clips. - Clean and enhance audio using PodCastle. - Add branded thumbnails and graphics using Canva or Photoshop. - Incorporate captions, hooks, and pacing optimized for each platform. - Edit internal content such as team interviews, training, sales, and marketing videos. - Sync and mix b-roll, music, sound effects, and voiceovers. - Perform color grading (a plus, not required). - Graphic Design Support: - Use brand templates to maintain consistent visual style. - Assist in creating scroll-stopping thumbnails and high-CTR visuals. - File Management: - Organize and label source and export files in Google Drive with a consistent structure. - Ensure files are easily searchable and well-structured for collaboration. - Collaboration & Execution: - Work closely with the Podcasting Content Manager to align on direction, expectations, and creative timelines. - Communicate proactively about progress, deadlines, and revisions. - Operate effectively in a remote, async team environment.
